Ratan Tata
The chairman of the Tata group which has traditionally been known to be deeply involved in social management has personally taken charge of the core planning and overseeing of the group’s relief operations. Soon after the disaster, he has personally been involved in chairing a series of the group’s initiatives and volunteer work.

His close involvement and that of the CEOs of group companies have ensured that relief management from the Tata group is at a high and in innovative ways. For example, a large number of software engineers from group company Tata Consultancy Services have been helping. Again, Tata Motors are taking care of some of the transportation needs.
