Three Tata firms to come under brand promo ambit
Financial Express — December 11, 2001

Tata Infomedia, Tata Honeywell and the recently acquired CMC Ltd, are the three new Tata Group companies which are on the way to sign the Tata Brand Equity Business Promotion scheme. While Tata Infomedia and Tata Honeywell are originally Tata Group companies, CMC comes under the umbrella after it was acquired by Tata Sons, as part of the Government’s disinvestment programme.

According to officials, while talks are over, the boards of CMC and Tata Sons are yet to sign the agreement in a meeting to be held towards the end of December. Once the agreement is signed, the board has to appoint a corporate quality head within the company and a quality council has to be structured to initiate the process. The same procedure holds good for the other two companies as well.
