The Tata Group has appointed Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to draw up a detailed investment plan for its foray into telecommunication business. BCG’s will chalk out the Tatas’ investment plan in basic telecommunications across various states. The consultants will also advise if it made good business sense for the Tatas to bid in the divestment of Videsh Sanchar Nigam (VSNL).
