Ginger
Indian Hotels unveiled its new GenNext 'Smart Basics' Ginger hotel at Pune. Ginger hotels are now operational in Bangalore, Haridwar, Bhubaneshwar, Mysore and Thiruvananthapuram.

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces, in association with Conservation Corporation Africa (CC Africa) and Cigen Corporation, announced the opening of its luxury wilderness lodge at the Bandhavgarh National Park.

Safari Dicor
Tata Motors announced the launch of its passenger vehicle segment in Ghanian market. The models include Indica hatchback, Indigo sedan, Indigo station wagon, along with the multi utility vehicles — the Sumo and Safari Dicor.

Launched the Bharat Stage III compliant CNG versions of the Indica and the Indigo Marina. The CNG option comes as an after-market fitment. The car has a driving range of 140 km on CNG, and can be switched to the normal petrol mode in case a CNG refill is not available.
Launched a passenger version of the mini truck Ace. The Ace, which is being exported to Sri Lanka, is currently priced at Rs 2.25 lakh in the domestic market.
June 2006
Launched a new range of its SUV vehicle, the Tata Safari. The range comes in two new vibrant colours — pearl white and cherry red — and is available in three engine options: turbo-charged, inter-cooled (diesel); direct-injection common rail (diesel); and multi-point fuel injection (petrol). The new range is priced attractively with the company's new and aggressive cost-reduction plan.

Launched an under-one-tonne mini truck, Tata Ace, in Sri Lanka. The mini truck was launched in India in May 2005 and is powered by a small and efficient twin cylinder, 700 cc diesel engine. The mini truck, with a sporty car look, can deliver high performance with low maintenance, and is safe and reliable.
Tata Mutual Fund

Launched the Tata Rural India Fund focused on companies in rural India. The mutual fund has come in the wake of the government's increased focus on rural development. The company also launched the Tata Equity Management Fund which aims to moderate risks by hedging the portfolio using stock or index derivatives.

Tata Mutual Fund unveiled an equity-linked savings scheme, 'Tata Tax Advantage Fund-1', a 10-year closed-ended scheme, in January 2006.

Tata Teleservices introduced India Calling Cards for its mobile and walky customers, which will facilitate easy STD and ISD calls.

Launched its new Go Mobile range of low-priced handsets. The handsets come bundled with a 100-per cent talk time value in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. On offer are two Haier handsets with value tariff plans.

Launched a new initiative 'Power of Choice' for pre-paid subscribers. Customers will get a choice of starter packs of values — Rs 99, Rs 499, Rs 999 and Rs 1,499. These can be combined with handsets from various manufacturers.
Launched calling cards for making long-distance calls to be used by both Tata Indicom mobile users and Walky users. The calling cards carry a validity period of three months with STD calling rates of Rs 2 per minute, a rate cheaper by about 10 per cent compared to BSNL calling cards.
