Tata Services Limited - Public Affairs Department is being re-structured in order to strengthen and equip it to meet the current and future needs of the Group. A step in this direction is the appointment of Mr. Joseph Alexander as General Manager (Government Relations). This appointment is effective August 6, 2001.

 Mr. Alexander was selected by TAS in January 1971. He was placed in TELCO in October the same year and handled various assignments at Bombay, Calcutta, Jamshedpur and New Delhi. He has served in senior positions at Tata Ceramics and Tata International.

 Mr. Alexander’s primary responsibility will be to interface with Government, Trade Associations like CII, ASSOCHAM etc on behalf of the Group companies. He will also be in charge of administration, including accounts, of the Delhi office. He will report to Mr. Sujit Gupta.
