Sunil
Wadhwa designated chief executive officer and executive
director of NDPL

North Delhi Power Limited, a
joint venture company of Tata Power and Government of
Delhi, today announced the designation of Sunil Wadhwa
as the chief executive officer (CEO) and executive director
with effect from March 1, 2007. Wadhwa has been on the
board of NDPL as executive director since November 1,
2005 as a Tata Power nominee.
Anil Kumar Sardana, managing director, NDPL, has been
appointed as executive director in the Board of Tata
Power w.e.f March 1, 2007, and has consequently stepped
down from this post. He shall, however, continue as
a member of the NDPL Board as non-executive director.
Wadhwa, as NDPLs chief executive officer and
executive director, will carry out the same responsibilities
as were being carried out by Anil Kumar Sardana.
Wadhwa, 47, is a graduate from
Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and an alumnus of
Mothers International School, Aurobindo Marg,
New Delhi. He is a qualified chartered accountant and
company secretary. He has been with the Tata Group since
1986, holding coveted positions in the oil and gas,
chemicals and fertiliser businesses of the Tata Group.
Wadhwa joined NDPL as CFO in July 2002 when the company
began operations.
