Business Standard — July 12, 2006

Tata Power Company has signed a development agreement with Siemens Project Ventures GmbH to jointly bid for ultra mega power projects.

According to a release issued by Tata Power to the BSE today, the company has signed an agreement with Siemens to jointly participate in the tariff-based bidding process for the Sasan (Madhya Pradesh) and Mundra (Gujarat) projects under the power ministry's UMPP initiative.

Siemens Project Ventures is a 100% subsidiary of Siemens AG's financial services group - Siemens Financial Services, the release added.
