Tata
Power’s strategic Electronics Division is targeting
a tenfold increase in turnover over the next five
years, at Rs,450 crore, and was interested in
partnering international players to provide support
services, in its bid to go global. Chief executive
officer Rahul Chaudhry said the division was interested
in increasing export business and was looking
at export opportunities in the "right skill
domain". However, with not many private defence
suppliers, the Tata group arm would continue to
focus on the domestic defence business. The arm
is already into development of rugged PCs, servo-controlled
platforms besides other special applications.
