The Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry has given the 2000-01 "Good Corporate Citizen Award" to Tata Power. Accepting the citation, the Tata major’s managing director FA Vandrevala said: "Tata Power’s outlook towards community development is in continuation of the late JRD Tata’s philosophy that what comes from the people must go back to the community."
