The range will be sold from January 2006 through TDCV’s
channel partner, Daewoo Motors Sales Corporation, which
at present sells TDCV’s existing range of heavy commercial

Speaking at the
unveiling ceremony, Ravi Kant said, "We are happy
to introduce the Novus range of medium size trucks.
Offering a product, which has never been seen before
in Korea, the new range demonstrates Tata Motors’ and
TDCV’s commitment to the Korean customer and economy."
K O Chae, President
of TDCV, said, "The new Novus range is a reflection
of our philosophy of customer focus. Tata Motors is
extending full support to us to translate our philosophy
into reality. I am sure that the new range will make
a great impact and set a new standard in medium size
trucks."
Dr D H Lee, president
of DWMS, said, "The Novus range will offer greater
choice to customers. With a larger portfolio ranging
from heavy trucks to medium size trucks, we will enhance
our competitive strength."
Besides being
the second largest commercial vehicle manufacturer in
the domestic market, TDCV has emerged as Korea’s largest
exporter of heavy commercial vehicles. It currently
accounts for 65 per cent of all such exports from
the country. About 40 per cent of its turnover
is from exports to countries like South Africa, the
Middle East and South East Asia. Tata Motors had acquired
TDCV in 2004.
