Motors: Total vehicle sales at 41,338 units, up 17.2
%;exports up 94.1 %

Tata
Motors reported a total sale of 41,338 vehicles (including
exports) for the month of October '05, a growth of 17.2
per cent over 35,283 vehicles sold in October last year.
Cumulative sales for the company at 2,36,304 units are
growing by 9.5 per cent.
Commercial vehicles
The companys sales of commercial vehicles in October
'05 in the domestic market were 19,700 units, an increase
of 18.2 per cent over 16,667 vehicles sold in October
last year. M&HCV sales stood at 11,520 units, while
LCV sales were 8,180 units.
Cumulative sales of commercial
vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal were
107,045 units.

Passenger vehicles
The passenger vehicle business reported a total sale
of 17,205 vehicles in the domestic market in October
'05, an increase of 5.4 per cent over 16,332 vehicles
in October '04.
Cumulative sales of passenger
vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal were
1,01,347 units.
Exports
The company's sales from exports were 4,433 vehicles
in October '05 as compared to 2,284 vehicles in October
'04, an increase of 94.1 per cent. The cumulative sales
from exports in the current period at 27,912 units.
have recorded a 116.8 per cent growth over the corresponding
figures for the previous period.
