Tata launches 49-ton truck trailer

Sizeable chunk of vehicles produced here will be exported

Auto major Tata Motors on Thursday launched a new 49-ton truck trailer (Tata LPS 4923) with an aim to acquire a major market share in Rajasthan, which is growing by 4-5 per cent every year.

Rajasthan became the third truck consumer market in the country, and buyers were shifting from multi-axel to trailer vehicle to get speed and better transportation of products, a company official said.

Costing around Rs 21 lakh, the vehicle has a 49-ton GCW with TC 6x4 and superior power of 230 HP, he said.
