Motors expects 15-20 per cent jump in sales of Indigo, Marina

Motors on Saturday said it was expecting 15 to 20 per cent growth in the sales
of its C-segment sedans, Indigo and Indigo Marina, with the incorporation of new
features in these two models.
"With the introduction of premium features
in Indigo and Indigo Marina, we expect the sales of these cars would jump by 15
to 20 per cent," Tata Motors assistant general manager (North) Deepankar
Tiwari told reporters in Ludhiana after launching the new range of Indigo and
Indigo Marina.
Tata Motors, which holds 33 per cent market share in C-segment
cars, currently sells 4000 units per month in the country.
The largest
automobile company of the country finds metro cities as potential market for its
C-segment versions. "We find NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Punjab as
potential markets for us," said Tiwari.
Tata Motors launched Indigo
in December 2002 and Indigo Marina in September 2004. Till date, the company has
sold over 1,25,000 Tata Indigo and Indigo Marinas on the Indian roads.
The
company has introduced premium features including new dual-chamber headlamps,
chrome-lined fascia, chrome insert rub rails etc, in Indigo sedan. While in Marina,
the company has incorporated monochrome tail lamps, new bumper, leather seats,
video player etc. |
