in tie-up with Tata Motors for mktg lubricants

Bharat
Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has entered into
a marketing tie-up with automobile manufacturer
Tata Motors for marketing of engine oils as co-branded
lubricants for their commercial vehicles. A press
statement issued by BPCL stated to have a synergy
between the two companies, Tata Motors and BPCL,
has also agreed to open service stations at select
outlets of BPCL across the country. BPCL has a
network of 4,500 retail outlets, retailing petrol
and diesel for vehicles.
Both the companies already have an existing agreement
of marketing gear oil, axle oil, transmission
fluid, coolant and greases. Tata Motors is the
sixth largest commercial vehicle manufacturer
in the world and is a market leader in the commercial
vehicle segment in the country. BPCL is one of
the leading marketing and manufacturing companies
of lubricants and speciality lubricants. The agreement
was signed by BPCL director (marketing) S Radhakrishnan
and Tata Motos executive director Ravi Kant.
