Tata Motors surpasses production of 3 M vehicles

Tata Motors has crossed the production milestone of three million vehicles. This landmark was achieved during the last week of August 2003. The company has also considerably brought down the timecycle between the three million.

The company was incorporated on September1,1945 and in December 1991, the millionth vehicle rolled out of its plant. Within seven and a half years, in June 1998, the second, millionth vehicle was produced. The third million has been achieved in just over five years.
