Tata offers extra

Tata Engineering has launched a new range of medium and heavy commercial vehicles under the EX series. Dubbed as a series packed with extra features from bumper to bumper, the latest from the automobile giant is keeping in tune with the changes that the road transport in the country is likely to witness in the near future.

Speaking at the launch, Ravi Kant of the Commercial Vehicle Business Unit said, "With projects such as the Golden Quadrangle, which covers almost the entire country, happening, and improvements in the roads forthcoming, it was time we offered our customers better vehicles.

EX is derived from the extra features provided. The extra power and torque provides superior pick up and faster turnaround. Reliability, durability and fuel efficiency are the other features that the company claims to provide with the new series.

The cabins of the EX series contains twin sleeper cushion berths and a single piece windshield with tinted anti-glare band. AC options are also available. According to company officials, the EX range would cost about Rs 15,000 more than the existing 7-16 tonnes range, which are priced between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 11 lakh.
