Tata Metaliks achieved record production and despatch in the financial year 2002-03. The company produced 138,361 tonnes of hot metal in the financial year 2002-03 as compared to 134,159 tonnes in the previous financial year 2001-02. Similarly total despatch of pig iron from the company was 144,506 tonnes in the financial year 2002-03 as compared to 128,251 tonnes in the previous financial year 2001-02, an increase more than 12 per cent over the previous year. Production and despatch along with other achievements in yield, productivity, etc. recorded were the highest ever since the date of its commercial production.
