(UAE) FZE organises customer interaction meet in
Dubai

A
customer interaction meet was arranged by Tata
(UAE) FZE in Dubai, UAE with the customers of
Tata International’s steel SBU.
Tata
(UAE) FZE, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata International,
looks after the steel business in the Middle East
region. About seventeen key customers from this
region from companies like Cylingas, Dubai Wire,
Emirates Iron & Steel, Godrej Khimji, Gulf
Steel, Hadley Industries, Muscat Industries, Al
Omraniya, United Precast, Link Middle East
were invited to high tea at Hotel Taj Palace,
Dubai on October 14, 2003. Besides the Tata UAE
team the customers interacted with Tridibesh Mukherjee,
deputy managing director – Tata Steel, S. C. Saxena,
managing director – TM International Logistics,
Sudhir Deoras, managing director – Tata International.
Yash Sinha, counsel general of India in Dubai
also attended the function.
The
steel business handled from the Dubai office has
grown from strength to strength. Sales increased
in the last financial year by about 75 per cent
over the previous year. The half year just ended
has seen a further growth of about 60 per cent
over the corresponding period in the last year.
“Most of the customers invited are old friends, well-wishers
and supporters of the Tata Group, and appreciated
this opportunity to meet up and renew contacts
with our senior management,” said A. K. Sethi,
vice president – Tata (UAE) FZE. “We continually
endeavour to maintain interaction with our key
customers for mutually beneficial and sustainable
long term business relationships.”
