Bangalore: Tata
Infotech Education, has announced the launch of Contact Centre
SolutionSets, an e-learning solution for the call centre
industry in alliance with SkillSoft (formerly SmartForce).
"The new
e-learning solution aims to help companies achieve consistent,
high quality customer service and is the only completely
integrated solution with technology, content and services. It is
very relevant considering the huge growth potential of IT
enabled services (ITES) sector in the country," said Tata
Infotech Education Services Division head Rahul Thapan.
The solution will save
the training costs of call centres by over 25 per cent when
compared with classroom training, thereby making them more
competitive, he said. Tata Infotech had introduced class room
training for call centres since 2001.
Contact Centre
SolutionSets would provide training solutions in the area of
interpersonal and customer interaction skills, personal
management and computer skills. The solutions would be available
for functions like customer service, inside sales support,
helpdesk and technical support, Mr Thapan said.
Tata Infotech Education
Service Division has 300 centres across the country and 15
centres abroad and plans to add 100 more centres in India and 20
more abroad, this fiscal.
"In
India, we are looking at expanding to smaller
towns and cities and abroad. Our focus is on developing
countries and would look at some parts of Africa,
Korea, China etc," Mr Thapan said.
