Bangalore: Tata Elxsi announced a 122 per cent increase in profit before tax at Rs 536.34 lakh for the period ending June 30, 2004 as compared to Rs 241.54 lakh of the corresponding period of the previous year. 

“The outcome of the initiatives taken during the last three quarters, is reflected in our performance this quarter. The augmented Q1 result, in terms of profit, is primarily due to the change in revenue mix, with the services business of the company dominating the revenue. We expect this momentum to continue”, said Madhukar Dev, CEO — Tata Elxsi Ltd. 

Tata Elxsi’s revenues for the quarter ending June 30, 2004 amounted to Rs 3831.39 lakh as compared to Rs 3395.69 lakh of corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company’s software development and services segment recorded 53 per cent growth at Rs 2787.37 lakh for the quarter ending June 30, 2004 as compared to Rs 1815.08 lakh of the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
