Hollywood offers lift Tata Elxsi

Tata Elxsi found the spotlight today after the company won at least four animation orders in Hollywood, including one involving a movie. The scrip of this Tata Group company rose by 4.12 per cent to close at Rs 72. In the early hours of trading, the scrip moved up 2.82 per cent to Rs 71.10. It registered total volumes of 1.21 lakh shares on BSE.

Tata Elxsi has now risen 10.66 per cent from Rs 64.25 on March 11. Tata Elxsi, a Rs 132-crore company, also works on Bollywood projects, besides commercials with advertising agencies. The revenue from the division involving Hollywood and Hollywood projects is estimated to have reached $5 million in 18 months.
