The first standalone outlet of
Tata Coffee in the country, combining roast and ground
coffee sales, was launched here on Thursday.
The outlet, "Mr Bean Coffee Junction," is
all set to revolutionise coffee retailing in India by
not only offering consumers the convenience of buying
fresh roast and ground branded coffee according to their
favourite coffee blend, but also a place that offered
a modern coffee shop experience, company Managing Director
M H Ashraff told reporters here.
The outlet would feature a databank, maintaining a
database of personalised taste and preferences of customers,
which would help provide highly personalised and customised
service every time, he said.
Tata Coffee proposed to open such outlets across the
key markets in South India, he said, adding that the
first phase of expansion would see these innovative
coffee junctions coming up in Chennai, Tiruchirapalli,
Visakhapatnam and Bangalore. Depending o n the success
of the outlets, the company would open franchisee-based
outlets across India, Mr Ashraff said.
