Tata BP Solar has been approved by the ministry of commerce and industry, office of the joint director general of foreign trade, as a recognised 'export house'. This comes as a boost to the rapidly growing exports of Tata BP Solar.

Incidentally, Tata BP Solar clocked Rs 1300 million export turnover during the financial year 2001-02 and the ministry of non-conventional energy sources, government of India, bestowed a special award for the best performance in export of solar energy products to Tata BP Solar during May '02. The company’s products are regular exports to the United States, Europe, Australia and South East Asian countries in addition to the Indian sub-continent.
