Tata BP Solar has won from McDermott, Dubai, a letter of intent amounting to US$ 130,000 for supply, installation, commissioning of solar power systems for radio, gas detection and telemetry on offshore platforms.

McDermott are building these platforms in Dubai for ultimate installation in Mumbai offshore for ONGC. This order comes close on the heels of the company’s success with NPCC, Abu Dhabi, a few months back against a similar requirement.

In the last 10 years, Tata BP Solar has won almost every order in India in this specialist field.
