TACO IPD Tech Center wins AutoPlast 2007 SPEICON Award from Society of Plastics Engineers, India

TACOIPD Tech Center has won the prestigious AutoPlast 2007 SPEICON Award from SPE India during the AutoPlast 2007 International Seminar and Workshop, which was held in December 2007 in Mumbai. The theme of AutoPlast 2007 was "Plastics: Driving Automotive Growth".

Vijay Boolani (programme chair), Surinder Ahluwalia (president), Rajiv Sanghavi (honourary secretary), and VG Nambiar (honourary treasurer and chairman, Awards Sub Committee 2007) are some of the members in the managing committee, SPE India. The award was given by Vicki Flaris, president, SPE Global. The award ceremony was attended by more than 200 representatives from the plastics and automotive industries.

The award category was 'Best Innovative Design Idea Incorporated in Plastics for Auto Industry'. The auto component was Coolant Surge Tanks. Metal was replaced with plastic composites resulting in weight reduction and improved part performance against corrosion. The material supplier was TIPCO.
