Tata Mutual Fund's latest fund
launch, Tata Indo-Global Infrastructure Fund declared
its first NAV at 10.032 on November 21, 2007. The fund
collected more than Rs2219 crores from over 4 lakh investors.
This is a new record in collections in India by any
asset management company in the private sector for a
closed-ended fund.
The fund, which closed on October 17, 2007, attracted
tremendous support from the distributor community and
investors alike.
Tata Mutual Fund has been a pioneer in the infrastructure
mutual fund space in India having launched Tata Infrastructure
Fund, over 30 months ago. The new fund, Tata Indo-Global
Infrastructure Fund provides wealth creation opportunities
through investment in infrastructure-listed equities
in India and other countries.
Speaking on the occasion, Ved Prakash Chaturvedi, managing
director, said: "The success of this fund is due
to our conviction in the long-term growth potential
of the infrastructure sector. We believe our experience
will help identify opportunities in Indian and overseas
infrastructure related equities through this NFO. We
