Tata
Equity Opportunities Fund has declared a dividend
of 8 per cent (Rs 0.80 per unit on the face value
of Rs 10) in its dividend option.
This is the eighth dividend declared by the fund
in 15 months, the earlier ones being 7 per cent
dividend (cum dividend NAV Rs 13.0036) on September
7, 2004, 10 per cent dividend (cum dividend NAV
Rs 14.33) on March 4, 2004, 10 per cent dividend
(cum dividend NAV Rs 15.13) on January 16, 2004,
12 per cent dividend (cum dividend NAV Rs 15.49)
on December 18, 2003, 14 per cent dividend (cum
dividend NAV Rs 15.07) on November 18, 2003, 18
per cent dividend on October 15, 2003 (cum dividend
NAV Rs 14.99) and 21 per cent dividend (cum dividend
NAV Rs 13.73) declared on August 12, 2003. Past
performance may or may not be sustained in future.
Tata Equity Opportunities Fund (TEOF) is an open-ended
diversified equity fund, which researches companies
and opportunities in the equity markets on a bottom
up basis. It aims to pick up stocks ahead of the
market and on an ongoing basis book profits to
enter further new opportunities. It is expected
to follow a proactive dividend distribution policy
in line with its fund management approach and
would endeavour to declare a large part of booked
profits as dividend (in the dividend plan).
As on November 9, 2004, the cum-dividend NAV of
TEOF (Dividend Option) was Rs 13.5968.
The record date for the above dividend was November
9, 2004.
After payment of dividend, the NAV usually falls
to the extent of the payout.
Nature
and investment objectives: Tata Equity Opportunities
Fund: An open ended equity fund. To provide income
distribution and / or medium to long term capital
gains while at all times emphasising the importance
of capital appreciation. Entry Load (other than
SIP): For Investment amount >= Rs 2 crore or more
Nil. For Investment amount < Rs 2 crore: 2.25
per cent. No entry load will be charged on investment
made by the fund of Fund Scheme Exit Load: NIL.
For SIP: No Entry load, Exit Load: If redeemed
on or before expiry of 365 days – 2.25 per cent.
If redeemed after 365 days – Nil.
