UBI ties up with Tata AIG

Public sector lender United Bank of India (UBI) launched a plan - United Child Solutions in partnership with Tata AIG for the customers of the bank.

The plan would help children in graduate and post-graduate studies, Chairman and Managing Director of UBI P K Gupta told reporters here.

He said UBI and Tata AIG were eyeing products in the pension and health sectors as well.

The bancassurance channel was an important channel for increasing fee-based income of the bank.

Chief distribution officer of Tata AIG Life Insurance Joydeep Roy said there was a huge potential in this area.
