TAL wins Pune Regional Network Forum at TMTC’s Innovation Day

TAL was adjudged winner at the Innovation Day organised by the Pune Regional Network Forum at TMTC on Thursday, May 17, 2006. With this, TAL qualifies to participate in the National Championship to be organised in Mumbai on June 8, 2006.

The topic of our presentation was "Swirling towards Enhanced Washing Technology", which highlighted the concept behind our new industrial washing machine to be launched in the near future.

It may be noted that ‘Innovation’ has been identified by the Tata Group as one of the key areas of focus in the coming few years. Group chairman, Ratan Tata, has spoken emphatically about the importance of innovation for the growth and sustenance of Group companies in various forums.

On the recommendations of TQMS for encouraging innovation and creativity in the Tata Group, Western Region Network Forum (Pune) organised the ‘Innovation Day’. The objective of this one day event was to promote learning by providing the group companies an opportunity to showcase their best innovations along with the associated processes and techniques.

The event saw eighteen teams from various Tata Group companies showcasing their innovative concepts to win the coveted title. The presentation of all the participating teams was evaluated by a panel of eminent judges comprising Dr Chitra Diwvedi from TMTC; Probir Mitra, CIO, TML and Prof Subramaniam from SCM HRD.

TAL’s team was represented by Sudhir Patankar, Sanjay Kulkarni, Mira Davda and Omkar Desai. As part of the organising committee, Sowmya and Prabhat were a great moral support to the team.
