Kalinga Nagar steel plant in 2 years: Muthuraman

The Tata Steel's six million
tonne (mt) steel project at Kalinga Nagar would come
into being in two years time, the company's MD Mr.B.
Muthuraman, said on Wednesday.
Mr.Muthuraman was speaking at a function after inauguration
of the TCS development centre and Ginger, described
as a 'low cost, high value' hotel here this evening.
The Tata group chairman, Mr. Ratan Tata, was also present
at the function.
The chief minister, Mr. Naveen Patnaik, who inaugurated
the two new facilities, said that he was sure about
Tata Steel's new steel project coming up at Kalinga
Nagar. Referring to the land provided to Tata Steel
at Gopalpur for the establishment of a steel project
in the 1990s which did not come up, the chief minister
said he was hopeful of something constructive coming
up there as well.
