Rallis India Limited announced unaudited results for quarter ended  June 30, 2004. The company achieved improvement in sales and profits. The profit before tax was Rs 2.26 crore (loss of Rs 17.65 crores in the corresponding period previous year) and the income was Rs. 114.64 crores (Rs. 98.53 crore in the corresponding period previous year). The company is now very focused on pesticides.

During the quarter, the sale of pesticides increased by 43 per cent over corresponding period in the previous year. This has been possible due to the various initiatives taken by the company including the introduction of new products. This coupled with a focused approach on distribution and marketing has enabled Rallis to register a strong growth in the pesticides segment.
