The
Institute of Economic Studies awards mjunction and its MD, Viresh Oberoi January
25, 2007 The Institute
of Economic Studies, New Delhi, one of the country's premier research institutes,
has conferred the Bhartiya Shiromoni Puraskar upon Viresh Oberoi, managing director,
mjunction services (formerly metaljunction services). It has also presented a
gold medal to mjunction services in recognition of its efforts in enhancing the
country's image. The award was presented to Oberoi at New Delhi. The
Institute of Economic Studies (IES) was established in 1980 by a group of economists,
parliamentarians and industrialists to discuss problems concerning various aspects
of the country's economy. As part of its activities, the IES holds conferences,
seminars, group discussions, etc, on the issues of contemporary business and economic
interests in various parts of the country. Over the years, IES has grown in size
and become an important voice of the industry. It has also succeeded in promoting
industrialisation, particularly of the small-scale sector. The
past recipients of this award include Tata Metaliks and its managing director,
Harsh Jha. |
