to hold 'Indian Coal Conference 2006'

a division of metaljunction services will organise a
three-day international conference named 'Indian Coal
Conference 2006' at Kolkata in association with the
Informa Group, the worlds largest conference organiser.
The conference supported by the Ministry of Coal and
the Ministry of Power, Government of India will be held
from February 8-10, 2006 at ITC Sonar Bangla Sheraton
& Towers, Kolkata.
Announcing the same, Viresh Oberoi,
managing director, metaljunction services limited, said,
"The Indian Coal Conference 2006 is being organised
to bring together the leading international coal companies,
international traders, senior Indian government officials,
Indian coal producers and consumers, the transportation
industry and technology providers to discuss how to
ensure Indias energy security as we embark on
a high growth trajectory for the Indian economy".
Mr Oberoi further added, "The
conference among other things would discuss the areas
such as widening coal supplies by identification of
new sources, adopting technologies, sea-borne trade
in coking coals, developments in coal preparation and
pre-carbonisation technologies."
High-level Indian participants
are expected from the ministry of coal, power and steel
Government of India, Coal India, National Thermal
Power Corporation, Steel Authority of India, Tata Steel
while overseas speakers are also expected from Macquarie
Shanghai, Energy Economics, PT Bumi Resources and many
more.
More than three hundred delegates
representing various organisations are expected to attend
the conference.
