The TCS Fit4life Corporate Challenge is an annual 10K timed competitive running event for corporate participants, which brings together like-minded organisations to promote physical fitness amongst professionals while contributing to a social cause. The challenge kick-started in Ahmedabad on December 9. Overall, 12,000 runners from over 300 companies are expected to participate in the challenge this year.
Corporates are required to register as teams, each with a minimum of four members, preferably with at least one woman participant. A corporate can field multiple teams. Registration will be limited to a maximum of 3,000 participants in each city.
The top three men and women finishers from each city will be awarded trophies, medals, Fastrack activity trackers and Tata Stryder bicycles. These top six winners from each location (subject to meeting qualifying timing criteria) will also get a free entry to participate in the Tata Mumbai Marathon or Tata Ultra Marathon. Additionally, the corporate with the highest number of participants and the corporate with the highest number of women participants will be awarded trophies. All participants will receive a runners’ kit, which includes a t-shirt and a bag. All finishers will be awarded a medal and a timing certificate.
TCS has partnered with Agastya International Foundation in Ahmedabad, Maher in Pune, the Tata Medical Centre Trust in Kolkata and the Cancure Foundation in Kochi for the challenge and will contribute Rs500,000 to each of these charity partners.
