Tata Power Maithon plant's support helps ace boxer clinch his successive Gold at the Jharkhand State Boxing Championship

Dhanbad: Maithon Power (MPL), Tata Power’s 74:26 joint venture with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), has always stood out for its exemplary support to the people and the communities, surrounding its plants. In line with the philosophy, MPL supported one of its contract employee Mahtab Alam and helped him clinch Gold at the recently concluded 10th Jharkhand State Boxing Championship (under senior 81kg category). Mahtab Alam undertook training at the Tata Boxing Center, Jamshedpur which was facilitated by MPL.

MPL has hailed the achievement of Mahtab Alam, who won the Gold medal for the second successive time, at the Jharkhand State Boxing Championship. The ace boxer has paid its gratitude to Farhad Engineer and Chetan Tolia for their enormous support and encouragement. Mahtab has further appreciated the leadership team of MPL for their role in facilitating his training at the Tata Boxing Center, Jamshedpur.
