Tata Power Delhi Distribution announces top management rejig
Appoints Sunil Singh as COO and Hemant Goyal as CFO
New Delhi: Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL) has announced top management changes. In bringing this new structure to life, the following senior leadership appointments have come into effect from May 1, 2018.
Sunil Singh has been appointed as the chief operating officer. Before his elevation, Mr Singh was serving as the vice president, operations and safety. He brings with him more than three decades of experience in the power sector pertaining to generation, transmission and distribution operations. He holds expertise in providing technical solution to complex electrical distribution problems through applicable solutions. He joined Tata Power-DDL in 2004 when AT&C Losses were hovering around 45 percent. Under his guidance, Tata Power-DDL has set new benchmark in AT&C loss reduction of sub 10 percent, a rare feat to achieve in the Indian power scenario. He is an alumnus of IIT (Roorkee).
Hemant Goyal has been appointed as the chief financial officer. Mr Goyal has taken over from Ajay Kapoor who has moved to Tata Power to undertake new assignments. Before his elevation, he was the GM, finance and accounts. Mr Goyal joined Tata Power-DDL in August, 2005. He brings with him over three decades of experience in the power and telecom sectors. Before joining Tata Power-DDL, he has served in various senior positions in BSES Rajdhani Power, Bharti Airtel and Modi Korea Telecom. Mr Goyal is a qualified chartered accountant (1991 Batch) and commerce graduate from Rajasthan University.
Speaking on the management changes, Sanjay Banga, CEO, Tata Power-DDL, said, “Both Sunil and Hemant are seasoned professionals and domain experts with proven track records.
