Over 50 women participated in the workshop held at the plant site. The objective of the campaign was to create awareness and provide expert guidance about personal safety, prevention of sexual harassments (POSH), the necessary legal procedures for women’s safety at workplace and in society and means to voice out their opinion against any such crime. It also sensitised the participants upon personal hygiene and health.
Talking about the initiative, KV Ghate, CEO, CGPL, Tata Power, said, “International Women’s Day, as the name implies, is a day to celebrate womanhood while laying importance on gender equality. We, at Tata Power have always stayed committed towards the safety, health and hygiene of women in our areas of operation.
