Announces Ajay Goel as the chief executive officer
Tata BP Solar India today formally announced a name change to Tata Power Solar Systems (Tata Power Solar). As part of a previously announced restructuring, Tata Power Solar is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power, the largest integrated power company in India. In addition, Tata Power Solar also announced a new chief executive officer, Ajay Goel – an alumnus of IIT Delhi with an MBA from the University of Chicago. He brings over 20 years of broad industry experience, with the last five years deeply focused on leading and transforming the face of the solar industry in North America. Under the leadership of their new CEO, Tata Power Solar is ready to take the solar business forward with renewed vigour. “I am truly excited and honoured to join a team that pioneered the solar industry in India and remains at its vanguard even after 20 dynamic years.
