Croma to sell Dell products from April

Indian
consumers will finally be able to to touch, feel and
browse Dell products, as the computer manufacturer today
announced its partnership with consumer electronics
retailer, Croma. Dell laptops and desktops will be in
select Croma stores in Mumbai from April this year.
Though Dell has partnered with various retailers across
countries, this partnership with Croma marks its the
maiden foray into India's retail outlets. The Dell XPS
and Inspiron systems will be available at the store
where customers can request for customisations of the
said Dell products to specifications and have them home
delivered.
While announcing the partnership Michael Tatelman,
vice president of sales and marketing, Dell's consumer
business said, "The agreement with Croma will strengthen
Dell's consumer presence in India, making our products
more accessible to more customers."
"Our unique format will offer the advantage of
Dell's direct model so that customers can call, click
or visit and shop for a built-to-order PC with the latest
technology," he added.
In the past several months, Dell has announced relationships
with Carrefour in Europe, Best Buy and Staples in the
US and Canada, Courts in Singapore, Gome in China, Bic
Camera in Japan, Carphone Warehouse in the UK, DGSi
and Tesco in various parts of Europe and Wal-Mart in
the US, Canada, Brazil and Mexico and Argentina.
