Taj
Palace Dubai joins DTCM South Africa Roadshow 2005
October 31, 2005
From
1 to 3 November, the five star Taj Palace Hotel Dubai
will be joining the DTCM delegation as it promotes Dubai
to South Africa. Headed by the Dubai Tourism Commerce
and Marketing, the group will be visiting four major
South African cities namely Johannesburg, Durban, Port
Elizabeth and Cape Town to promote tourism and business
trade exploration.
South Africa is one of the important
feeder markets for Dubai. This is made up by South African
companies opening trade offices in Dubai, and, those
travelers transiting via Dubai before proceeding to
their onward routes.
This is now our third consecutive
year in participating with DTCM to sales blitz Dubai
and Taj Palace Hotel to the South African market. Our
hotel has proven to be one of the most preferred accommodations
given our unique non-alcohol profile. A significant
number of South Africans being Muslims welcomes this
dry-policy. This makes the Taj Palace Dubai all the
more popular with families and business travelers,
commented Helmut Meckelburg, the general manager of
Taj Palace Hotel Dubai.
The Taj Palace Hotel Dubai
is located right in the heart of the city center, just
ten minutes from the Dubai International Airport and
walking distance to the major shopping malls and entertainment
hub of the city. Known as an oasis in the city
center, the Taj Palace remains one of the most
recognised five-star hotel in Dubai for its distinctive
dry-concept profile, luxurious facilities
in accommodation, dining and recreation. Facilities
include 249 guest accommodations including two royal
suites, 10 executive suites, 147 executive rooms (the
largest in Dubai at 61 square meters each with private
balcony), 90 spacious apartment units; two rooftop swimming
pools; full-service Ayurvedic spa and health
club. It has four themed restaurants namely Handi, Verdi,
Sakura and Topkapi.
