The Taj Exotica Goa wins The Thomas Cook “Marque of Excellence Award” for 2004.

In perhaps what could be termed as an auspicious start to the new year 2005, the Taj Exotica Goa, has already received its first award — The Thomas Cook “Marque of Excellence Award” for 2004.

The award was presented to Helmut Meckelburg, general manager and area director — Goa, by Mandi Watson, gateway manager — Goa, Thomas Cook Operations. Later on, during an impromptu photo session with the HODs, Mr Meckelburg thanked them for their tireless efforts during the past year that resulted in such high customer satisfaction levels.

Signed by Manny Fontenla-Novoa, the chief executive of Thomas Cook, the award has been presented to the hotel for “customer recognition of exceedingly high standards of service and quality of accommodation”.

Last year too, Thomas Cook honoured the hotel on two separate occasions, for “Best Long Haul Destination” and “Best Property in Goa” for which Mr Meckelburg received the awards at a glittering ceremony in London.

With the excitement of the New Year barely behind them, this is indeed a very good start to the New Year for the hotel and will hopefully augur well for the remaining months.
