Taj plans business hotel for Bangalore
The Economic Times — October 31, 2006

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces has announced plans to launch a new business hotel in Bangalore. The hotel is scheduled to open by April 2009 and will be operated under the Taj Business Hotels brand. Taj, which has entered into a licensing agreement with Naveen Hotels (NHPL), for the new hotel at Yeshwantpur, Bangalore, has been associated with Naveen Hotels for over 25 years and the two are partners in the Taj Residency, Bangalore.

With new hotels in Yeshwantpur and in ITPL (Whitefield), the Taj now has two new business hotels under development in Bangalore. "Bangalore is an important market, which is currently facing a big gap in demand and supply. This move is part of the business hotel strategy to expand our reach in cities, which are of importance to the business traveller," said Jamshed Daboo, COO, Taj Business Hotels.
