Taj enters into contract with Kamat for new Goa hotel
The Economic Times — October 20, 2006

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces has entered into a management contract with Kamat Construction and Resorts, an associate company of Kamat Group, for a new hotel under development at Panjim in Goa. The proposed hotel with an inventory 154 rooms and suites will be operated under the Taj Business Hotels brand. The hotel is expected to become operational by December 2007.

Jamshed Daboo, COO, Taj Business Hotels, said, "The state is taking various initiatives to accelerate the growth of various industries and also promote Goa as a conference destination. We believe that Panjim, the capital city of Goa with key government establishments, corporate offices of local banks, travel companies and proximity to high-end residential areas of Dona Paula, presents an excellent opportunity for setting up a new age business hotel."
