With the listing of TCS on August 25, 2004, the total market capitalisation of the group's 28 listed companies crossed the Rs100,000 crore mark and the group acquired the distinction of having the highest market capitalisation among all business houses in the country, both in the public and private sectors.
Tata group accounts for 7.1 per cent of the total market capitalisation of BSE.
