The 2011 corporate edition of Tata Crucible is here!

The 8^th edition of Tata Crucible, the largest business quiz for corporates in India, starting July 22, 2011 is being conducted across 19 leading Indian cities, along with the Tata Track which is to be held across 8 cities.

The Tata Crucible is a unique knowledge-based initiative focused on empowering young professionals to think on their feet - out of the box and logically reason out responses with razor sharp reflexes, skills that are essential in today's corporate life. We welcome you to participate in this unique initiative and benefit from it.

The National Winning Team will take home a grand cash prize of Rs4 lakh while all the regional finalists will get exciting prizes including cash prizes.

Entry and eligibility

• Employees of companies other than the Tata group of companies can take part only in the non -Tata track of the event
• The Corporate Quiz (Tata Track) is open to all employees of the Tata group of companies. (as listed on www.tata.com)
• There is NO ENTRY FEE.
• Individual contestants will NOT be allowed to take part. Tata Crucible is a team event.
• Any two bonafide full-time employees from the same organization can form a team.
• Any number of teams from a company can participate in the quiz.
• Team composition cannot change once the prelim has taken place.
• Teams can represent their company from their current city of work only.

• Entry forms should reach the designated city representative (see table for details) 24 hours prior to the event, duly attested by the organisation represented by the team (It may be accompanied by a letter from the organsation).
• If a team consists of one team member working in a city where the event is being held, it becomes their city of participation if his/her teammate is from a city where the event is not being held.
• If a team is from a city where the event is not being held then the closest city (by geographic distance) would be the location of participation. All the teams from an organisation and from a city where the event is not being held will be allowed to participate from one location only (ie, the nearest geographic location).
• All participants are required to carry a valid proof of employment (ie, photo ID along with visiting cards) to the venue and produce the same on demand.
• The organisers retain the right to make any changes to the event - its format, date, rules and any other matter related to this event, at any time before or during the event.
• Entry to the event is by invitation only and organisers reserve the right to accept or reject any application to registration and / or entry to the event proceedings.
• By entering the event venue and / or participating in the Quiz, the attendees permit themselves to be photographed / videographed / recorded by electronic and print media for telecast / publication and other display usage of the organisers.
• Once you register for the event, it implies your acceptance that the decision of the organisers and quizmaster will be final and binding on all issues related to Tata Crucible and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
• All national finalists will be provided stay and return travel, as per the organiser?s rules, only from the city of victory in the regional round.
• By registering for the event, you also indicate your acceptance that the organisers can send you communication from time to time regarding Tata Crucible or any other initiatives by the organisers.
• All tax liabilities where applicable will be the responsibility of the recipients of the prizes. PAN No. is mandatory for claiming cash prizes, failing which cash prizes will not be given.

Format

• Prelims: This is a written elimination for all contestants at every regional round followed by the Regional Final on stage.
• Regional Final: The top 6 teams from the written Prelims qualify for the Regional Finals to be held after the Prelims at the same venue. The Winning Team from the Regional Final will participate in the National Final held in Mumbai.

• National Final Winning Team: Grand Cash Prize of Rs4 lakh*.
• Regional Winning Team: Cash Prize of Rs75,000/-*
• Regional Runners-Up Team: Cash Prize of Rs35,000/-*
• Fabulous audience prizes at every regional round.
