Voltas wins the Dun and Bradstreet Corporate Award 2018

Shiv Shukla, Minister of State for Finance, Government of India, graces the event as chief guest

Mumbai: Voltas, India’s No.1 AC company from the house of Tatas, was awarded the Dun and Bradstreet Corporate Awards 2018 for the ‘Consumer Durables and Appliances’ category. The award was received by Pradeep Bakshi, MD & CEO, Voltas, from Shiv Pratap Shukla, Minister of State for Finance, Government of India; Julian Prower, senior company officer, Dun & Bradstreet, UK, and board chairman, Dun & Bradstreet, India, and Manish Sinha, managing director, Dun & Bradstreet, India, at the event held on May 25, 2018, in Hotel Trident, Mumbai.

A number of parameters were considered while ranking companies and Voltas stood out across parameters including total income, net profit, and net worth. The company is the No.1 AC brand in terms of market share in the room Air Conditioners segment in India, having a sizable lead over competition. It has an overall market share of more than 22 percent, as per latest third party industry reports.

On the occasion, Mr Bakshi said, “We feel privileged to have received this award.
