Tata Power organises Club Enerji session in Kota, Rajasthan

Kota, Jaipur and Ajmer: Club Enerji, Tata Power's nationwide energy and resources conservation movement, has been undertaking numerous initiatives to spread awareness on energy conservation among school children and communities at large. Tata Power Ajmer Distribution (TPADL) recently launched Club Enerji in Ajmer and, taking this commitment forward, conducted its second Club Enerji session in Rajkiya Senior Secondary Sanskrit School, Kota.

Through this initiative, Tata Power aimed to educate the children and the society about the importance of energy and resource conservation by efficient use of energy. A total of 45 enthusiastic students participated and benefitted from the session. Post the session, students were motivated to take this learning into practical implementation and, thereby, save energy. Club Enerji is now working towards expanding the movement to other cities to sensitise a maximum number of individuals.

Speaking about the session, Yogesh Luthra, CEO, Tata Power Ajmer Distribution, said, “With every Club Enerji session, we wish to educate the children and promote awareness on energy conservation, who will become future ambassadors and will help in spreading the message to the communities at large. I would like to thank the teachers and our employees for their enthusiastic participation.”

Recognising the immense value that schools and school children can bring to the initiative, Club Enerji was started in 2007 to propagate efficient usage of energy and to educate the society on climate change issues. Till date, the movement has been successfully implemented in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Belgaum, Lonavala, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
