Tata Power manages peak load of 102.5MW in Ajmer city, Rajasthan
Jaipur: Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company, which manages electricity distribution in Ajmer City, Rajasthan, witnessed peak load of 102.5MW on May 29, 2018, the highest peak load catered by power distribution assets in the last two year in the city.
Tata Power Ajmer Distribution (TPADL) was able to manage this peak load comfortably as the company has worked extensively towards the maintenance of 33KV and 11KV lines as well as at the distribution transformers level since it took over the operations in Ajmer city.
Since the commencement of operation from July 1, 2017, TPADL has done over 980 distribution transformers maintenance. On low transmission line maintenance too, TPADL has completed 3,696 pole cleaning along with installation of 940 distribution boxes. The company has also upgraded 3 power transformer.
Additionally, the TPADL completed 100 percent tree trimming activity at 33KV and 11KV lines for smooth operation.
Yogesh Luthra, CEO, TPADL, said, “Despite witnessing the highest peak load in the two years, we are happy that we were able to meet the peak load demand and ensure reliable power supply to the citizens of Ajmer.”
