Tata Power Delhi Distribution provides Tatkal electricity connections this festive season

  • Nearly 200 connections have already been issued in this season
  • The connections can be obtained same day for Durga Puja, Ram Leela, pandals, marriages, etc.
  • Mobile transformers have been deployed to back seamless power supply during peak demand

New Delhi: With an aim to better serve its consumers this festive season, Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL), the pioneer in power distribution in India, is providing Tatkal (instant) electricity connections to its consumers. The electricity connections can be obtained for pujas, Ram Leela, pandals, marriages, etc.

The Tatkal Scheme

  • Tata Power-DDL is providing Tatkal (instant) connections to its consumers for pujas, Ram Leela, pandals and marriages, etc.
  • The connection can be obtained on the same day of applying after completing simple commercial formalities by reaching the nearest customer care centre.
  • Tata Power-DDL has made necessary requirements to meet the load requirements from the connections.

Under the Tatkal scheme, the applicant can get a temporary connection on the same day of applying after completing the simple commercial formalities at the nearest customer care centre. The consumers are extensively taking advantage of the scheme with nearly 200 Tatkal connections already issued so far.

Tata Power-DDL has already made necessary requirements, including load balancing to meet the load requirements from the Tatkal connections. Tata Power-DDL is also stationing various mobile transformers to meet additional requirements. Tata Power-DDL had successfully met the demand of 110 connections last year during the same time.

Commenting on the scheme, Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD, Tata Power-DDL said, "There has been a surge in the demand of Tatkal connections during this festive season and our staff is successfully meeting requests for connection. This scheme is our way of being a non-stop part of the celebrations and making the festive season even more memorable for our consumers."
