Tata Power Delhi Distribution gives special care to senior citizen customers with doorstep service offerings

New Delhi: Enabling communities and working towards consumer centricity have always been the focal points of Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL)’s work tenets. Continuing its work in the direction, Tata Power-DDL is running a special programme, Samman, to provide priority service to senior citizen customers.

Samman is aimed at enhancing the engagement of senior citizen consumers, especially those who are staying alone. Under the programme, the company is providing special services such as doorstep documentation, complaint resolution, priority call support, online bill payment assistance and SMS services.

Samman  is also touching  upon the health and wellbeing of the elderly consumers by organising  free health, yoga and meditation sessions by qualified trainers once a month at company offices, wherein senior citizens are offered tips for staying healthy and are briefed about the importance of exercise and nutritional awareness. Routine check-up, including blood sugar, ECG and blood pressure, are also being organised by doctors along with free consultation by cardiologists and orthopaedics. Senior citizens are also being briefed about safety / energy conservation tips and various consumer service initiatives during the sessions.
